Black is where crystal does its best work. The halter begins in jet sequin and black floral appliqué at a high collar, then gives way, row by row, to cut silver and falls into tiers of crystal chain across the hem.
Each bead is placed by hand, and the change from black to silver is graded so closely it reads as light crossing glass. The black satin skirt is pleated at the waist and draped at the hip, and a ruffle of sheer organza runs down from a single shoulder.
