Neel is a hand-beaded denim blouse in which white moti work blooms across powder blue in large, sweeping keri — each paisley filled with dense pearl beading, its outline traced in resham, small flowers settling into every space between. The fabric beneath is denim, but worn like this it belongs to a different conversation entirely. The scalloped hem and beaded spaghetti straps carry the same care as the body — nothing here is an afterthought.
From the first sketch to the final stitch, Neel represents an estimated 40 hours of human attention — 5 full days of a single pair of hands. The denim is first washed and cut, the paisley motifs traced onto the surface by hand before a single bead is placed. The moti work begins at the largest keri and moves outward, the beading following the curves of each motif with the patience of someone who understands that a paisley cannot be rushed. The scalloped hem and straps are finished last, each bead placed so the edge lies clean and even.
