Miroir is a structured shisha corset in which square mirror fragments are set into a continuous gold lattice from strap to hem — not scattered but gridded, every piece the same size and angle, so the body becomes a single unbroken surface of light. Between the mirrors, skin shows through at the waist, the negative space as deliberate as the embellishment itself. In stillness it glows. In a room with candles, it is the room.
From the first sketch to the final stitch, Miroir represents an estimated 46 hours of human attention — nearly 6 days of a single pair of hands. The lattice grid is first mapped onto the structured corset base, the diamond geometry traced panel by panel so it aligns across every seam. Each shisha mirror is then individually set and anchored — wrapped in thread at exactly the right tension so it sits flush and faces outward. The cups are worked last, the grid curving over the sculpted form without breaking its rhythm.
