Sage is the colour of things that have weathered well, and the foil is laid to match: gold worn across soft green in cloudy washes, as if the metal had aged into the cloth.
The corset is its opposite, fine and exact. Sheer lattice panels sit between channels of pearl and crystal embroidery, each stitch placed by hand with the patience a bodice this precise demands, and wide straps fall into bead fringe at the shoulder. The saree is pre-draped and pleated at the hip, edged in a slim beaded border, and the pallu drops from the shoulder to end in a fall of bead tassels.
