Floraison is a hand-beaded blouse in which every surface is a garden in mid-bloom — powder blue and blush moti flowers built outward in concentric rings, their centres finished in gold zardozi, their leaves trailing in sequin-work that catches light the way dew does, briefly and completely. The cups are sculpted, the scalloped hem tracing a soft, unhurried edge in turquoise. At the shoulders, three-dimensional beaded flowers sit proud of the fabric — not embroidered so much as grown there.
From the first sketch to the final stitch, Floraison represents an estimated 50 hours of human attention. A designer first draws each flower individually — its petal count, its curve, the way it will sit against the body. The base fabric is cut and shaped, each cup structured before a single bead touches it. Then the moti work begins: beads placed one at a time in arcs that must align perfectly across both panels, the colour shifting from blush to blue with the patience of someone who understands that a garden does not rush. The dimensional shoulder flowers are constructed separately, each petal beaded and formed before being joined. The scalloped edges are finished last — every curve bound by hand.
