Dark silk and gold zardozi, like a garden remembered at midnight.
Forêt is a charcoal silk lehenga where a garden grows upward from the hem — large zardozi blooms in antique gold and silver, their stems and leaves rendered in fine resham that catches candlelight differently from every angle. The skirt pools when still and opens when it moves, the embroidery travelling across the floor like something that was always meant to be seen from a distance. The blouse is all sequin and mirror — dense, golden, a deliberate contrast to the quieter dark of the skirt. The dupatta carries the border of the lehenga onto the shoulder: the same zardozi vine, now framing the face.
The floral motif is drawn to scale before the silk is touched — each bloom placed so the garden reads as continuous across every panel when the skirt is open. The zardozi is then worked by hand, gold and silver wire laid and coiled one section at a time, the resham leaves filled in last.
