Grey is the one colour that lets silver stay exact. Here it is pewter, and the embroidery follows it: silver zardozi, sequin, mirror and pearl drawn into paisley that thickens toward the hem of the kurta and tightens into fine borders at the neckline.
Every motif is worked by hand, paisley inside paisley, with the patience a pattern this dense asks for. A cut-out at the waist, hung with small bead drops, gives the short kurta its line. The palazzo and dupatta are in a crushed metallic tissue that moves between pewter and silver as it catches the light, the dupatta edged in a mirror-work lace border.
