The wide strap here does not stop at the shoulder. It falls behind in a long pleated sweep that trails along the floor, so a gown cut like a column moves like a saree.
The corset is embroidered by hand in silver vines and pearl, bead by bead, following the structure of the bodice. Heather-mauve jersey is gathered and pleated at the hip and falls in a single line, while a slim strap hung with pearl drops balances the other shoulder.
