A lehenga dyed in the memory of every garden after rain.
Gulaal is a hand-crafted lehenga set built from silk chiffon that has been washed in colour the way festival air is — fuchsia bleeding into saffron, teal dissolving into orange, no two panels holding quite the same light. The corset sits structured against it all: mirror-work and fine crystal placed across the bodice in vertical streams, each piece catching flame differently depending on where you stand. The dupatta is sheer and warm, its border finished in the same mirror-work so that when it moves, it carries a little of everything with it.
From first sketch to final border, the dyeing is done in open wash — colour applied in layers, each one dried before the next is laid, so that the depth you see is earned, not printed. The mirror-work is then set by hand, each tukdi placed and secured individually against the structured base of the corset.
